Why Ayurveda?
Ayurveda is a system of healing that originated in ancient India, believed by many scholars to be the oldest therapeutic approach in the world, that eventually gave roots to Chinese and Greek medicines. Some say it dates even as far as 10 000 years back.
What matters more than the exact date is whether it could have survived that long in times of verbal passage if it weren't worth passing down, teacher to student, decade after decade.
Sanskrit was the ancient language of Ayurveda.
Ayuh means life, and Veda means knowledge.

It is a science of life.

The word Human, read in Sanskrit backwards, means beauty and greatness. It is our destiny.

Sanskrit words hold within them vibrations of matter - this ancient language has the power to uplift the heart. Sanskrit is a combination of music and mathematics. No one knows where it originated, and it is infinite, like math, like the Universe. Every letter is like a number, forever able to combine and dance into different patterns.

Interestingly, this language does not cut you off from what it describes. Instead, it encompasses the meaning of what it describes as it connects one to all surroundings. If it sounds rather magical, that's because it is! Analyzing ancient Sanskrit slokas is how Ayurvedic physicians learn.

Every time I hold the classical Ayurvedic textbook, I have a feeling that I am privileged to be part of something sacred.
Health in Ayurveda
Ayurveda is a complex, holistic approach to the human being, where the body, mind and soul interconnect. Balance in their conjunction creates HEALTH, and imbalance creates DIS-EASE. Typical thought patterns, lifestyle habits and diet choices contribute to a constant striving for equilibrium.

We are all created of the same building blocks. Doshas or genes, our defaults, are arranged in a unique masterpiece.

Only one of YOU exists in this world with a distinctive fingerprint, iris, and genetic makeup. Therefore, you require a personalized approach. Not everyone thrives on the same diet and routine, and Ayurveda recognizes that.
It goes beyond health fads and trends.

Why Integrate?
Ayurvedic practitioner and biohacker? How does it work?
Present environmental challenges fast exceed anything ancient healers could ever foresee. While the blueprint of human design has not changed, allowing ancient Ayurvedic knowledge to remain as relevant as ever and timeless, environmental degradation has led to the development of numerous new health conditions that were nonexistent thousands of years ago and absent from the Ayurvedic slokas.

I love to stay up to date with modern research, experiment and see what works. Why reject any capable healing tool when we need all the help we can get? Biohacking is the mentality of a hacker applied to human optimization.

While honouring ancient wisdom, modern practitioners of Ayurveda must consider the ever-changing condition and presentation of the human environment and health if they are to continue recalibrating the traditional teachings to the developing world.

I believe that keeping an open mind, experimenting and adjusting one's conclusions are pillars of critical thinking. How else would an alternative practitioner differ from a mainstream doctrine?

Integrating (verb): to bring together or incorporate parts into a whole.

It sounds very holistic to me.
